Hosting Live Interviews with Participants (Beta)
End-to-end guide on enabling, inviting participants to, running, and recording a one-to-one live interview from the dashboard.
The Live Interviews feature allows you to host one-to-one video calls with participants who join directly from the Indeemo app.
1. Enabling Live Interviews in Your Project:
-
Go to Manage Projects -> Edit Project on your project card.
-
In the left navigation, select the Target Group.
-
In the Target Group settings, tick the 'Live Interviews' check box. Repeat for each Target Group.
-
Note: Participants will not see the "Join Interview" button until they are individually invited.
-
2. Inviting Participants:
-
Schedule Externally: Indeemo does not schedule interviews. You must arrange interview times directly with participants or through your recruiter (e.g., via email or a separate scheduling link).
-
Enable the Feature:
-
Open the Interviews tab.
-
For a registered participant, click Enable Interview.
-
The participant receives an automatic email, and a “Join Interview” button appears in their Indeemo app Task List.
-
3. Running the Interview:
-
Participant Action: At the agreed time, the participant opens the Indeemo app (or web.indeemo.com), goes to the Task List, and taps Join Interview.
-
Moderator Action: From the dashboard, go to the Interviews tab and click Join Interview.
-
Warning: Do not share your moderator join link. Participants must join via the button in the app.
-
4. Recording the Interview:
-
Manual Recording is Required: You must manually click the Record button when the meeting starts. Only moderators have the record button.
-
If you do not click record, no footage is saved and cannot be recovered.
-
When finished, click the 'X' -> End Meeting for All. Recording stops automatically.
5. After the Interview:
-
If recorded, the status on the Interviews tab will change from Loading -> Processing Recording -> Uploading Recording -> Watch Interview.
-
The final file uploads to your project in the dashboard under the 'Live Interview' task.
