Assigning Speaker Identification to Transcripts
After importing video/audio files, the system automatically generates transcripts with default speaker labels (e.g., Speaker 1).
The first step in analysis is to correctly assign names and roles.
-
View the Transcript: Open the imported file and navigate to the Transcript tab.
-
Assign Roles: By default, each speaker section will show a default label (e.g., Speaker 1 #Role not specified). You need to rename the speaker and assign a role (Researcher or Respondent).
-
Editing Speakers: Click the Pencil icon/Edit next to the speaker's name. You will have two options:
-
Edit Speaker for all sections: Assigns the name and role to every part of the transcript where that speaker is detected.
-
Edit Speaker for just this section: Use this if a small part of the transcript has been assigned incorrectly.
-
-
Confirm: Enter the name, choose the Role, and click the Save/Pink tick icon.
