Transcripts, Translations, and Subtitles
Indeemo provides powerful tools to process and prepare your video and audio data, including auto-generated transcripts, speaker assignment, and subtitle/translation features.
Transcripts: Viewing and Editing
Indeemo automatically generates transcripts for all video and audio uploads, including media imported via the Video/Audio Import feature.
-
Location: Once a media file is uploaded, the transcript is available under the Transcript tab on the upload card.
-
Editing: You can edit the text of the transcript directly to correct any transcription errors.
-
Timestamps: The transcript includes timestamps, allowing you to jump to the exact moment the speaker said a specific word.
Speaker Assignment
If the media file involves multiple people (e.g., an imported interview), the system identifies speakers by default labels (e.g., Speaker 1).
-
Assign Roles: By default, each speaker section will show a default label (e.g., Speaker 1 #Role not specified). You need to rename the speaker and assign a role (Researcher or Respondent).
-
Editing Speakers: Click the Pencil icon/Edit next to the speaker's name. You will have two options:
-
Edit Speaker for all sections: Assigns the name and role to every part of the transcript where that speaker is detected.
-
Edit Speaker for just this section: Use this if a small part of the transcript has been assigned incorrectly.
-
-
Confirm: Enter the name, choose the Role, and click the Save/Pink tick icon.
