Using and Managing Respondent Aliases

How to add, edit, remove, and filter by Alias for segmentation and filtering uploads.

Aliases allow you to add segmentations or unique identifiers to participants, which is useful for filtering and segmenting content.

What is an Alias? An Alias is an alternative label (e.g., 'Vegan,' 'Gen Z,' 'JB007') that appears next to the participant's name on every upload they submit.

Visibility: Moderators, Recruiters, and Observers can see a participant's Alias.

Add an Alias:

    1. Go to the Respondents view.

    2. Click Add Alias next to the relevant participant.

    3. Type the alias and click Save. You can add multiple aliases by separating them with a comma (e.g., Vegan, Gen Z, Female).

Edit/Remove an Alias: Click the pencil icon next to the Alias, make your changes, and click Save (or remove the text entirely to delete it).

Filtering by Alias: On the Dashboard, use the Respondent filter and type in the Alias to filter results by those segments.
